About

Catherine is a writer and aspiring author who lives just outside of Melbourne in the east of Victoria. She enjoys writing fantasy and creating maps of new worlds. She researches just enough quantum physics for it to sound like she knows what she’s talking about in her books, and her books will always end with a happily ever after.

When she’s not writing, Catherine can usually be found with a cup of tea, a stack of romance novels, and far too many ideas for her next story. Her idea of a perfect Sunday is to wake up after a lovely long sleep, enjoy a cuppa in bed while reading. She’d enjoy walking her doggo, more reading, and some writing in between each of the hobbit meals of the day (Breakfast, Second Breakfast, Elevenses, Luncheon, Afternoon Tea, Dinner, Supper).

A NOTE FROM CAT

I’m Catherine and I’m excited to share all of the stories I’ve had zooming around in my head. My goal is to finally get them down on paper and into some kind of readable format so that I can share them.

I work full time and so writing has very much been a hobby I enjoy when inspiration strikes. I’m making moves to change that and building some solid routines to achieve my dreams of becoming an author.

I’m excitedly working away at my first release and I hope to be able to provide concrete dates at some stage. If you want to be the first to know about beta reading opportunities and pre-release dates you can subscribe to my newsletter. You can also follow me on Instagram, Facebook, or X (Twitter), or subscribe to my SubStack to keep up to date with all my adventures and news.

Ten Things You Couldn’t Know About Me:

I love books, reading them, collecting them, browsing new ones, flipping through old ones. Books make me happy.
My favourite movie is The Goonies.
I have a border collie named Rocket.
My favourite thing to drink is water… but vanilla coke is a close second with tea and coffee tied in 3rd.
All of the stories I write a connected to another book I’ve written in some way.
My favourite colour is yellow.
My all time favourite author is Kate Forsyth, her books ignited my love of reading.
I am not an early bird or a night owl, I’m more of a permanently exhausted pigeon. Those middle of the day hours are best for my energy levels.
I love listening to all kinds of music, I curate my playlists off vibes.
I do believe that dreams can come true.
